DESIGN

CONSULTATION

My first job as a young adult was as an apprentice to Architect Tom Terry of Distinctive Homes.  I completed residential and commercial architectural drawings for Mr. Terry from 1990-1994 and again in 1999.  I also worked for my father's construction company growing up and became familiar with conventional building practices and design ideas with hands-on experience at a young age.

While designing and building dozens of houses, my parents were always interested in energy efficiency, passive heating and cooling designs within conventional constraints.  As an adult I've independently worked on several remodel projects in Arizona, California and Washington state, both on client's homes and on my own property.

During my involvement at Ecosa Institute 2011-2015, I added more Eco-Design principles to my knowledge base.  At Ecosa I was the lead development representative and facilitiated the reciept of a $4 million gift that allowed the purchase of a 65 acre property in Prescott, Arizona, so that the Institute could create its own campus. I offer design consulting services at an hourly rate. A short consultation might help save you significant money and time if you are interested in working on a green-build project. I thoroughly enjoy imagining possibilities of "what could be" and offering suggestions for making your project truly amazing and practical at the same time.  Give me a call and let's talk!
